General Manager - Lynn Butler

Curling has been a large part of Lynn’s life for a very long time. It began as a child when she watched herparents curl and continued as an adult when she joined the Toronto Board of Trade curling club in 1988. Subsequently, Lynn joined Weston Golf and Country Club in 1993, curling there until 2018 when their curling ended. From there, she joined Dixie and has also curled at Thornhill and Mississaugua.

As a successful marketing and public relations professional, Lynn has extensive management experience in creating, implementing and managing large scale projects ranging from marketing the rollout of a transit payment system to organizing national championship sporting events. Lynn’s many years in management have provided her with valuable insights and honed her skills in overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As the General Manager of the Dixie Curling Club, Lynn is eager to leverage her experience and skills to enhance the club’s offerings and elevate the overall curling experience for its members. She plans to implement innovative programs and initiatives to attract new curlers, engage the existing membership base, and create a vibrant and inclusive community within the club.

Lynn is excited about the future of the Dixie Curling Club and envisions it becoming a premier curling destination for curlers of all levels. By fostering a love of curling from an early age, Lynn believes that the club can secure its long-term success and contribute to the growth of the sport in the community. She looks forward to working with everyone at Dixie to continue Dixie’s many years of success and to ensuring the necessary investments to keep the club at the forefront of curling in the GTA.
