WELCOME TO DIXIE CURLING

The Dixie Curling Centre is a 6-sheet, member-driven curling club providing a social environment for all ages. We offer excellent instructional, recreational and competitive programs to the community on professionally maintained curling ice. During the curling season, we run programs 7 days a week, 14 hours a day. We have operated on the original site since March, 1956. Dixie is known for its long-standing tradition of friendliness and inclusivity, where everyone feels welcome.

NEW LEAGUES AT DIXIE

Novice Leagues:
- Full season of rotational position-play designed to learn more about the game from all angles. Coaches periodically hop on the ice to help with strategy and offer tips on rock delivery and sweeping.
- 6-week sessions designed to dip your toe in the curling world. Volunteer coaches are on the ice to help with strategy and offer tips on rock delivery and sweeping. Great for anyone who has completed or is participating in a Learn To Curl program and is looking for more.
Dixie After Dark:
- A great fun and social night on and off the ice for the Under 40-ish crowd. Designed for novice and experienced curlers alike who are looking for a good time and to meet new people. The fun begins on the ice and wraps up in the curling lounge. Teams rotate every week, and players try all positions to get a feel for the game.

Team Bandurka finishes 5th in Canada as Team Ontario

Join us in congratulating Team Bandurka (Patricia Bandurka, Leta Greer, Meredith Czaniecki, and Stephanie Bandurka) on winning the Curling Ontario Club Provincial Championship and being named Team Ontario. thumbnail IMG 1378 As a result of the win, they represented Ontario and Dixie at the Everest Funeral Concierge Canadian Curling Club Championships hosted by Barrie Curling Club. The national competition featured the best men’s and women’s teams from ten provinces, three territories, and Northern Ontario. The team made it to the quarter-finals, finishing a spectacular 5th in Canada.
